ODIMM LAUNCHES SECOND PART OF PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS LADIES

The Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development of Moldova (ODIMM) has launched the second part of the program "Women in Business", aimed at providing assistance for developing private enterprises.

Organization representative Eugenia Sili said that program participants may rely on grants worth up to 165 thousand lei 110 thousand of which should be directed to buying of equipment, repair works, while the rest 55 thousand lei - to services on business development.

According to her, over 300 women-entrepreneurs will also benefit of consultations from business experts. They will be helped in using instruments and methods of business planning and development, identifying of resources, necessary for launching and developing their own businesses.

The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the program is November 30.

Within the first part of the program, over 300 representatives of the fair sex benefited from training on launching or extending their own enterprises. They acquired planning skills, established factors of success and transformed ideas into real business concepts in such fields as agriculture and trade.

The project was launched by the Moldovan Government in 2016. It is administrated by the ODIMM for encouraging entrepreneurship among women, especially in rural areas.

The program is designed for three years and for its implementation 51.5 million lei were allocated from the state budget.
