JAPANESE COMPANY PRODUCTION IN COMRAT TO OPEN UNTIL END-FEBRUARY

Japanese company Fujikura intends to start producing automobile cables and spare parts in Comrat already until the end of February.

According to the Gagauzia Executive Committee, this was announced by Fujikura Director for Europe Santiago Rodriguez at the meeting with Gagauzia Bashkan [governor] Irina Vlah. The interlocutors discussed the process of preparing the production in a rented facility at the beginning.

He confirmed that this year the company will start building its own plant with an area of 10 thousand square meters in the territory of Comrat industrial park.

The head of the autonomy assured the company representative that the Gagauzia Government and the Comrat Primaria will provide all-round support for implementing these projects.

As Infotag has already reported, in 2016 the Fujikura Automotive MLD won the contest for the right to become resident of the Expo-Business-Chisinau FEZ and declared about its readiness to invest 3.2 million euros for opening cable production for automobile industry. In April 2017 it has already opened a plant in Chisinau.

The Fujikura is world producer of electric components for automobile industry, electronic and telecommunication. It was founded in 1885, is headquartered in Tokyo, but has representative offices in many countries, in particular Germany, Romania, Spain, Ukraine and Russia.
