WE HAVE TO RAISE A GENERATION WITH CREATIVE THINKING - MOLDOVAN PREMIER

23 april, 2018

Prime Minister Pavel Filip attended the opening ceremony of the ICT Summit 2018, dedicated to the educational issues, on Monday and said that the Moldovan society should focus on raising a generation with creative thinking.

According to him, the today's informational age demands the implementation of informational technologies in education, but it is not enough to simply include additional informatics lessons in schools, it is necessary to completely revise the curriculum.

"People of my generation are emigrants of the informational age, its real citizens are those, born after the invention of the internet, and they need a qualitatively new approach to the education", he said.

Filip said that there is no field where there is no need of digital literacy today.

"One does not have to write in one's CV that he masters Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as this is not an exclusive knowledge already, it is a need anyone who wants a job has to know", he said.

The premier called on informational technology industry representatives to provide assistance to the Government in adapting the curriculum to the branch needs.
