CFM TO BE SUBORDINATE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY AGENCY

01 august, 2018

The National Railroad Company of Moldova will go from the subordination of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure to the Public Property Agency.

According to the Government, Prime Minister Pavel Filip made a corresponding order, criticizing the CFM leadership for inefficient administration.

“The ministry has to engage in developing policies, while the PPA – in administrating. I do not want to waste time on vain discussions and explanations”, he said at the sitting with responsible officials in the government.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed discontent about the fact that CFM employees have not received salaries for already 3 months, while the arrears reached 100 million lei.

“You will not get far with such an organization. How are you going to get away from crisis, when you have 40 servicing companies-parasites? You have in your garage cars without wheels, but according to documents they are in running order and they consume fuel”, the premier resented.

According to him, the enterprise management is inefficient and unsatisfactory.

“I see that the state of things does not change. Some is interested that the chaos to continue. We have to understand what is happening at the enterprise and stop tormenting people. Someone regards the CFM as one’s own business and is doing all he wants there”, Filip said.

He demanded the resolving of three tasks paramount for the enterprise: repayment of the arrears on salaries, expenditure optimization and CFM strategic reorganization.

As Infotag has already reported, in recent years the CFM was headed by representatives of the Liberal Party, which before was a part of the ruling coalition. From year to year the situation of the state enterprise was worsening. In 2017, the LP went into opposition and began to lose important posts. Experts maintain that now the time to go has come for the current CFM head, Liberal Iurie Topala.
