INVESTORS MAY SAVE AROUND A MILLION EUROS DUE TO SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURE ON GETTING LABOR PERMITS - IFC

Foreign investors will save up to 21 million lei annually as a result of the reform that simplified the getting of the permit for work and stay in Moldova. These are the conclusions, made by International Finance Corporation (IFC) experts after conducting a corresponding research.

According to the organization press release, as a result of the reform, the package of necessary documents, submitted to government institutions, the terms of application processing were reduced and from now on, the employer may submit the application by himself even before the worker arrives in the country [before, the documents should have been submitted by the employee himself].

"Also, foreign worker, who is already working in Moldova, but wants to change the job on the basis of new contract, can extend the stay permit without mandatory leaving the country, returning to Moldova and submitting of a new package of documents", the research says.

Among those who can benefit from the procedure of getting the permit to work and stay in Moldova there are foreign highly-qualified specialists, workers who are away on business or who are holding leading positions, as well as employees of companies from among the investors of priority importance.
