NEW BRAND FOR ATTRACTING INVESTMENT LAUNCHED IN MOLDOVA

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure presented a new national brand “Grow in Moldova” on Tuesday, which is aimed at attracting investment to the republic.

The logo represents a natural evolution of the national tourism brand “Tree of Life”, whose elements symbolize the importance of tourism and winemaking, replenished by symbols of five other strategic fields of the national economy: light industry, IT-technologies and communications, automobile production, electronics, infrastructure and energy sector.

Director of the Agency Rodica Verbeniuc expressed hope that the new brand will help to promote Moldova for attracting foreign capital through joint efforts of the government, the business environment, the citizens and the diaspora.

“The initiative is based on Moldova’s natural evolution and the aspiration to enforce its originality as a growing, competitive and attractive investment market”, she said.

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici said that among the republic’s advantages there is favorable geographic position and the free trade agreements with a number of countries.

“Moldova has access to sales markets with almost a billion of consumers, a mild tax regime, a stable economic growth and benefits for foreign investors”, he said.

The new brand will be used not only in state projects. Moldovan entrepreneurs may also use it while participating in various international events, as well as organizers of these events – to raise the Moldova’s investment attractiveness.

For the first time the brand will be used at the upcoming 5th forum “Moldova Business Week”, which will take place in Chisinau at the end of November.
