MOLDOVAGAZ DEMANDS RAISING OF GAS TRANSPORTATION TARIFF 8-FOLD

The Moldovagaz company called on the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) to revise the tariff on natural gas transportation, maintaining that in 2020 it should be 276.41 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters instead of the current 32.32 lei.

An official address of the enterprise leadership to the ANRE says that the volumes of gas transportation through the territory of the republic have sharply fallen. The document includes company specialists’ calculations on gas transportation tariffs in 2020 in the standard regime and in the reverse regime.

The calculations were published on the National Energy Regulatory Agency website for public discussion, while the decision on them should be taken already at the Administrative Board open sitting on December 27.

According to experts, if the ANRE does not revise the tariff on transportation, the ModovaTransGaz will be working in detriment at a loss. Otherwise, the losses will be suffered by Moldovagaz, if the tariffs for gas consumers are not revised due to growth of the transportation services cost. However, President Igor Dodon has several times stated that there will be no raising of gas tariffs for consumers.
