WORLD BANK MAY FINANCE NEW PROJECT IN WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN MOLDOVA

The World Bank may finance a new project in the sphere of a compromise-like management of water resources in Moldova. Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Protection Ion Perju discussed project details with WB representatives on Monday.

The interlocutors determined the priority directions of financing, which the Minister said are determined by the country's current reality and the population's needs.

"The priority is to create water-supply and sewage systems that would link educational institutions and health facilities with the infrastructure of water supply and sewage", believes the Minister.

Ion Perju said that the concept of the project had been discussed in the Council for external assistance in the sphere of compromise-like management of water resources. The concept will be sent for considerable to the Moldovan Ministry of Finance and to the World Bank.
