ION CHICU AND PETER MICHALKO DISCUSS FULFILLMENT OF CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING EU MACRO-FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The progress of realization by Moldova of the conditions for receiving the second tranche of the EU macro-financial assistance were discussed on Monday between Prime Minister Ion Chicu and Ambassador Peter Michalko, the Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova.

According to the governmental press service, the interlocutors exchanged opinions about the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and the Government’s plans in this direction.

Ion Chicu and Peter Michalko considered the economic situations in Moldova and in the European Union in the context of the influence of introduced epidemiological restrictions.

The Prime Minister briefed the EU Delegation Head about his participation in the last week’s videoconference of the Heads of State and Government of 27 European Union member states and of six Eastern Partnership Program countries. The online forum discussed pandemic consequences and ways of development of the Eastern Partnership Program countries for nearest years.
