CZECHIA HELPS MOLDOVA TO BUILD UP CoV BED STOCK

The Czech Republic is helping Moldova to increase the stock of specialized beds for COVID-19 patients in various regions of Moldova. Thus, the money provided by the Czechia Government has permitted to obtain 11 such beds for a hospital in Causeni and 10 beds for a hospital in Calarasi.

Such intensive-therapy beds, provided with auxiliary equipment, permit to tune and supply power to the medical equipment necessary for taking care of patients. Such equipment is used in specialized medical subdivisions – of resuscitation and intensive therapy.

The medical equipment and bedside tables were manufactured in the Czech Republic by the companies of MZ Liberec and LINET. The total cost of this humanitarian project is 390 thousand euros.

The Czech Republic has allocated also 100 thousand euros for preventing the COVID-19 spread among people with limited possibilities. Besides the humanitarian assistance, Czechia finances in Moldova various projects of external cooperation in the development field, providing annually up to 3 million euros for these purposes.
