MOLDOVA COULD BECOME BENEFICIARY COUNTRY OF COOPERATION BETWEEN CHINA AND CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES "17 + 1"

On Tuesday, the dynamics of bilateral relations and the parliamentary dialogue between Moldova and China were discussed by the chairman of the Agriculture and Food Industry Commission of the Parliament, Vladimir Bolea, with representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Moldova. According to the parliament's press service, the meeting was attended by Igor Chiriac, secretary of the commission for legal issues, appointments and immunity, and Marcela Nistor, member of the commission for culture, education, research, youth, sports and media.

From his part, Bolea stated that Moldova is open to effective cooperation with the Public Republic of China, especially in the development of trade relations.

"We are interested in a relationship based on mutual respect, and we count on China's support. We dream of advancing both diplomatically and economically by increasing exports of Moldovan goods and attracting foreign investment to Moldova," Bolea assured.

Prospects of realization of joint projects of Moldova and China, possibility of inclusion of Moldova in the format of cooperation of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe "17 + 1" as the third beneficiary country were also discussed at the meeting.

The press service of the Parliament also announced that "representatives of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Moldova expressed their readiness to support the Moldovan authorities in the process of modernizing the Republic, welcoming Moldova's European path".
