WORLD HAS TO SEEK ALTERNATIVE TO FINANCIAL CAPITALISM MODEL – INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS

18 december, 2017

Experts from Moldova, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Georgia, Sweden, Switzerland, Georgia and Russia participated at the Friday’s international conference “Financial Capitalism and its Alternatives”.

French Economist Herve Juvin said that the idea of peace economy is driven by, has exhausted itself, which is demonstrated by the inglorious end of the Western liberal order. According to him, in parallel with the processes of globalization and outstanding technical progress, the cultural diversity decay is happening, while the single goal of people is consumption and satisfaction of their egoist needs.

“The main threat comes from what everyone is calling to strive for – the wellbeing and free market. The new principle is the supremacy of political ideas over economic ideas, the substitution of the “I” and the individualism with the “we” – the social group, the people”, Juvin maintains.

Historian and political scientist Alexander Dughin said that he does not consider the capitalism as the main reason of catastrophe, because the capitalism in itself is catastrophe.

“First of all, we should admit the fact that the capitalism is based on the idea of split – labor alienation, appearance of classes, production and consumption dividing. But the socialism can neither be considered as an alternative to capitalism, as it also implies split in the society, making the working class dominant”, the historian said.

British expert Chris Paul said that initially, the capitalism contradicts the globalization, while this process is destructive indeed for the entire world society.

According to him, the economy should be built on the basis of small and medium enterprises – this is the main key for combating globalization.

“The BASEL-III banking system, recently adopted in Moldova, is not designed for supporting small businesses, while world corporations control the political decisions adoption. The today’s model of the world is actually developing in wrong direction, but its changing will take much more than one decade”, Pall said.
