​CHISINAU TROLLEYBUS FLEET BUILDS UP REVENUES

By the beginning of August, this year’s revenues of the Chisinau Municipal Electric Transport Company (RTEC) amounted to 113 million lei, which figure was 7 million lei greater compared with the equivalent period of 2017.

Company Director Dorin Ciornii reported at a working meeting of the municipal services that thanks to the growth of revenues, the debts of the enterprise were reduced from 28 million lei as of January 1 down to 12 million on August 1.

He said that all employees receive their salaries on time and through bank cards.

“The RTEC thematic priorities include introduction of e - ticketing system, air conditioners installation, as well as opening of new routes for autonomous trolleybuses which will connect the suburbs”, Ciornii said.

According to him, 20 new trolleybuses will be assembled by the end of the year, 15 autonomous ones. All of them will be equipped with air conditioning. The first five trolleybuses will be commissioned in September.

The RTEC is responsible for three trolleybus fleets, which employ about 2.5 thousand workers. The enterprise has 361 trolleybuses, serving 24 routes.
