INFLATION IN MOLDOVA - 0.4% IN OCTOBER
Prices in Moldova grew on average 0.4% in October against 0.1% in September. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) the annual inflation (since October 2017 till October 2018) accounted for 1.2% and is staying under the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) target corridor of 5% В± 1.5% for already the 6th consecutive month.
NBS specialists say that the October inflation was primarily due to seasonal growth of food products prices - on average by 0.6%. At the same time, non-food products went up in price just 0.3%, while services - 0.2%,.
Infotag's dossier: In October 2017, 1.5% inflation was registered in Moldova. The annual inflation accounted for 7.9%. For 2018, the National Bank of Moldova was initially forecasting inflation within 4%, but has revised it already four times, the last time lowering it to 3.3%.
