19 november, 2018

Revenues of the National Social Insurance Fund (CNAS) exceeded 16,192 million lei (US$952.5 million) as of the end of November, which is 1.55 billion lei more than over the equivalent period of 2017.

According to the CNAS, the main share of revenues – 10,753 million lei (+12.7%) accounted for the mandatory social insurance contributions.

Transfers from state budget exceeded 5,037 million lei, including 4,193 million (+2.3%) – for payment of social allowances and other payments. 1,087 million (+21%) is designed for covering the social fund deficit.

CNAS expenditures achieved 15,824 million lei (US$930.8 million) against 14,603 million a year ago. They exceeded revenues by 367.8 million lei, or almost 10 years more than in January-October 2017.

The balance of funds in the CNAS accounts was 375.1 million lei as of November 1. With all this, it should be taken into account that there will be no other budget funds for covering the CNAS deficit within the next two months, as all the planned provisions have already been paid.
