​VICTORIABANK LAUNCHES BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Moldova’s first private bank – the Victoriabank (VB) launched the program Victoriabank Club, designed for training entrepreneurs. Such an initiative is a model, which is successfully implemented by the VB majority shareholder – the Banca Transilvania (BT) for already 13 years.

At the launching event, member of the Victoriabank Board of Directors Tiberiu Moise said that Victoriabank Club is a free access to trainings, seminars, conferences, consultations and experience exchange, which will help entrepreneurs to develop business and to professionally grow.

“The BT Club history started 13 years ago in Cluj-Napoca. In Romania we have built a great society with over 25 thousand participants. Over 1 thousand trainings were organized in 60 localities with participation of 55 thousand people. We are glad to continue this story of success in Moldova. Each new participant of the Victoriabank Club means the fulfillment of the bank mission in supporting the entrepreneurship in Moldova”, the banker said.

According to him, any physical or legal person, who is planning, starting or already successfully developing a business, may become program participant. Everyone can get information about the courses schedule on the Victoriabank website and can register for free participation in these. The courses will be organized in Chisinau and other localities of Moldova.

Victoriabank Club seminar participants can find out more about efficient business administration, team motivation, sales, marketing and right decisions for successful business development. The trainings will be conducted by bankers and specialists from the Victoriabank, the Banca Transilvania and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as well as trainers, specialized in various spheres of economy.

Head of the EBRD Office in Moldova Angela Sax, present at the event, said that the EBRD is supporting young entrepreneurs for already many years.

“EBRD welcomes the Victoriabank Club program. We support young entrepreneurs not only in Moldova, but also in over 30 countries of the region. The EBRD provides financial support to small and medium enterprises through their financial mediators. The bank provides credit lines to such institutions as BT and Victoriabank. Our help is not limited to financing. We regard that training is a responsible part of our work. We are helping entrepreneurs to understand which product is best for their businesses and provide various consultations from international experts”, Sax said.

According to her, in this way the EBRD helps SMEs develop, achieve success and keep growing, becoming a real catalyst of national economy growth.

Infotag’s dossier: The Banca Transilvania is holding 16% of the Romania’s market. Its activity is focused on three basic directions – retail trade, small and medium enterprises and corporate business. The BT has over 3 million clients, 8 thousand employees and over 600 offices in 180 localities. Assets of the BT group reached 77.9 billion Romanian lei as of December 31, 2018. The credit portfolio is of 38.02 billion lei, the net profit – 1,257 million lei, 1,219 million lei of which are bank profit. The BT deposit portfolio reached 65 billion lei in 2018, including over 43 billion lei deposits of physical persons and 22 billion lei – of legal.
