TAX SERVICE REMINDS ABOUT NEED OF SIGNING CONTRACTS FOR HOUSING RENT

The enhancement of the State Tax Service’s activity on control over the renting of immoveable property allowed improving the situation in this sphere.

According to the service, in January-March, 1032 physical persons registered 3135 agreements on renting property, which is regarded as tax report.

At the same time, inspectors identified 1514 unscrupulous lessors and took actions on forcing them to abide by the tax legislation. 150 persons have been checked and as a result, 126.4 thousand lei were imposed to be paid to budget additionally, as well as 5.5 thousand lei in the form of penalties and 27.1 thousand lei – as fines.

The State Tax Service recommends to lessors to observe the tax legislation and register the agreement on transmitting the immoveable property within three days after it was signed. Besides, it is necessary to pay the 7% tax from the sum of the contract. This should be done before the date of 2 of the current month or even beforehand.
