​POLISH GOVERNMENT TO ALLOCATE FINANCING FOR TRAINING MOLDOVAN RESCUERS

The Government of Poland will allocate 247 thousand euros for training rescuers and firefighters of Moldova to provide quality first aid to the injured. A corresponding project was launched on Wednesday.

According to press center of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the launching ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Moldova Bartolomiej Zdaniuk, as well as the Ministry of the Interior leadership.

Best Polish specialists from the Polish Medical Order of Malta will become instructors in training. Several Moldovan rescuers have already received diplomas. The inspectorate also received special equipment, estimated at 57 thousand euros.

One of inspectorate heads Sergiu Golovaci said that the work with Polish partners is priority in the agency's activity and in joining European practices of providing assistance.

Bartolomiej Zdaniuk welcomed the sides' efforts, expressing hope that this partnership will keep deepening day after day.

Within the project "Polish Aid", which will last till December 31, 2020, 120 rescuers and firefighters will undergo training and will receive technical assistance.
