PROMO-LEX MAINTAINS THAT INITIATIVE GROUPS HAVE NOT RENDERED ACCOUNT FOR THEIR EXPENDITURES TOTALING 735K LEI

The initiative groups, which are collecting citizens' signatures in support of their presidential candidates, have not yet rendered an account of their expenditures totaling 735 thousand lei, Pavel Postica, the Program Director of the Promo-LEX Association, reported on Thursday.

"Of that total sum, 261.7 thousand lei accounts for potential presidential candidate Violeta Ivanov of Ilan Sor Party; 172.1 thousand lei - for Andrei Nastase of the DA Platform; 168.8 thousand lei - independent candidate Igor Dodon; 52.1 thousand lei - Renato Usatii of Our Party; 34.2 thousand lei - Octavian Ticu of National Unity Party; 18.9 thousand lei - Maia Sandu of the Party of Action and Solidarity; 14.2 thousand lei - Andrian Candu of the Pro-Moldova party; 7.4 thousand lei - Tudor Deliu of the Liberal Democratic Party; and 5.1 thousand lei - Dorin Chirtoaca of the UNIREA bloc", said the expert. The observers have registered 363 instances of using open-air and Internet advertizing during the signature raising period, which is prohibited by the law, and a greater part of such violations were committed by the initiative groups of Maia Sandu - 200 instance, of Octavian Ticu - 41, and Renato Usatii - 38 instances.

According to Pavel Postica, the Mission registered the using of party resources by two potential independent candidates - Igor Dodon and Alexander Kalinin.

Also, in the period of September 1 to 11, the Mission recorded two instances of using the language of hatred in public, and both times it was Renato Usatii.
