ADOPTION OF ‘BUDGET PACKAGE’ IS PRIORITY FOR PARLIAMENT – IGOR DODON

Incumbent President Igor Dodon believes that the adoption of the Fiscal Policy and budgets for 2021 is the Parliament’s number one priority for the present moment. He stated this after a consultative meeting with Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii and Prime Minister Ion Chicu. The Premier, who is taking a course of COVID-19 treatment at home, participated in the conversation in an online mode.

“The law-stipulated time has expired for introducing by parliamentarians of amendments to the 2021 Fiscal Policy and to the laws on budgets. More than one thousand amendments have been proposed. All of them will be considered by the Government. And the Parliament is supposed to adopt these 4 laws in the forthcoming two weeks”, said Igor Dodon.

The President said that revenues to the State Budget from the Tax Service have grown by 7.8% this year against 2019, and from the Customs Service – by 12.8 %.
