BUDGET DEDUCTIONS TO REACH 30 BILLION LEI IN 2021 - GOLOVATIUC

In 2021, deductions from the State Budget to local budgets and to the funds of social insurance and compulsory health insurance will reach 30 billion lei, Chairman of the parliamentary Standing Committee for Economy, Budget and Finance Dr. Vladimir Golovatiuc stated at a press briefing on Thursday.

He explained that local budgets will receive 14 billion lei from the State Budget, the Social Fund - 10 billion lei, and the compulsory health insurance fund - 6 billion lei.

And 1.2 billion lei has been projected for raising salaries to all categories of public sector employees.

"These will not be only health sector workers, but concretely for medics salaries will grow by 30% in 2021. The recipients of pensions and social allowances below 4,000 months a month will receive before Easter a lump-sum allowance of 1,000 lei. And a record-breaking sum of 2 billion lei will be provided for the building and repair of roads and for the development of village infrastructure", said Vladimir Golovatiuc.

On Wednesday, the Parliament increased the first child allowance to 9,460 lei from the current 8,300 lei, with 40 million lei to be used for this purpose.

"In 2021, the price of compulsory health insurance policy will remain at this year's level of 4,056 lei. And the fund for compensations of medicines has been increased by 50 million lei to reach 660 million", said the Socialist lawmaker.
