​MAIB ORGANIZES SECOND MOLDOVAN-ROMANIAN FORUM CAPITAL BRIDGES IN BUCHAREST

On Wednesday, Moldova's largest financial institution with a 35% market share, maib, is holding the second Moldova-Romania Capital Bridges 2024 forum in Bucharest. The bank's board of directors reported that the forum will be attended by representatives of the top management of the two countries.

The forum will be addressed by the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, Igor Grosu, and the Speaker of the Romanian Senate, Nicolae Ciuca, Prime Ministers of Moldova - Dorin Recean and Romania - Marcel Ciolacu, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odille Renaud-Basso, President of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, Head of the EBRD Representative Office in Moldova, Catarina Hansen, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova, Dumitru Alaiba, as well as business representatives. The participants of the forum will discuss opportunities for building bridges of cooperation between the capital markets of the two countries, taking into account the context of the beginning of negotiations on Moldova's accession to the European Union.

The forum is organized by the Bucharest Stock Exchange in partnership with WOOD & Co, Raiffeisen Bank International, EBA Moldova, AmCham Romania. The first such forum was organized by the maib management team in September 2022.
