MOLDOVA TO RECEIVE GRANT AND LOAN FROM THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE DEVELOPMENT BANK FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE “STATE HOUSING III” PROJECT

The government on Wednesday approved two projects for the ratification of agreements with the Council of Europe Development Bank to obtain a grant and loan for the implementation of the ”State Housing III” project. The Bank will provide a loan of 20 million euros and a grant of 1 million euros. Additionally, 6 million euros will be provided by the E5P Fund. The contribution of the Republic of Moldova (including local authorities) will amount to around 7 million euros. Thus, the total project budget will be 34 million euros. As a result of the implementation of this project, 450 units of social housing (apartments) will be constructed/renovated, serving 1.6 thousand beneficiaries. Student dormitories (for 730 people) and nursing homes (for 730 people) will also be reconstructed.
