BIG PARKING LOTS AT ENTRY TO CHISINAU WILL REDUCE TRAFFIC JAMS AND AIR POLLUTION – BUILDING COMPANY DIRECTOR

A quick and fairly simple solution to three pressing problems for Chisinau at once is proposed by Petru Dacin, Director of the road construction company Dromas Cons. He said in an interview with INFOTAG that his proposal will help the city authorities reduce car traffic and gas pollution, and at the same time guarantee the receipt of considerable additional income to the municipal budget.

“The downtown Chisinau just chokes with a forbiddingly large amount of traffic. It is urgently necessary to equip five or six large modern parking lots on the outskirts of the capital. The capacity of each of them must be at least 500 vehicles. Car owners will have the opportunity to leave their vehicles at the entrance to the capital, moving further by using public transport,” the specialist believes.

According to him, the arrangement of spacious parking lots is not such an expensive pleasure, and therefore their construction should be entrusted to a responsible economic agent who is in good standing.

“The parking fee should, firstly, be inexpensive, for example, 2-3 lei per hour. Secondly, it is necessary to equip the lots with electronic devices for paying with bank cards and phones,” said Petru Dacin.
