The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Moldova-European Union Association, Siegfried Muresan, believes that Chisinau is well prepared for the negotiations with the EU. As INFOTAG reports, EU official said this to journalists after his recent visit to Moldova, where Muresan held a number of meetings in the parliament and government of the republic.

Moldova exported $1.214 bln worth of goods abroad in January-April, which is 12.6% less compared to the same period of 2023, the National Bureau of Statistics told the INFOTAG agency, noting that domestic goods were exported for $935.6 mln (77%), while the rest were re-exports.

"Peace does not mean capitulation to the aggressor," Moldovan President Maia Sandu said at the Peace Summit on Ukraine held in Burgenstock, Switzerland, on June 15-16. The Moldovan head of state said that "peace for Ukraine is also peace for Moldova, and without this interconnection the global world cannot exist."

The future of the Transnistrian region is inseparable from the Republic of Moldova and is linked to the European Union,Ț said Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi. He said at a conference held in Odessa on Black Sea security that the republic's authorities are currently working on a strategy for the reintegration of the Transnistrian region.
