VLAD FILAT IS SUPPLIED WITH PERSONAL DATA OF ALL PEOPLE GOING TO MOSCOW – RENATO USATII

31 octomber, 2014

One of the essential-most leaders of the ruling Coalition for Pro-European Governance (CEG) – the Liberal Democratic Party leader and Moldova’s former prime minister Vlad Filat is systematically supplied by the Border Police leadership with the personal data of all people departing from Moldova to Moscow, Moldovan politician and man of business Renato Usatii stated at the news conference on Thursday.

Usatii, who is running for parliament as #1 on the Patria Party ticket, perceives this Filat’s practice to be “an elementary, barefaced violation of elementary freedoms and primarily of the citizens’ right to the freedom of movement.

Renato Usatii demonstrated to journalists the lists of passengers who had flown to Moscow from the Chisinau International Airport on October 4 through 20.

“They spared nobody. They fixed even Putin”, Usatii remarked with a smile, fingering at a passenger on the list named Dmitry Putin.

The politician believes that Filat receives from his party subordinates holding key posts in the Border Police [according to the notorious algorithm of division of ministries and other essential state structures between the CEG constituent parties, the Border Police ‘belongs’ to Filat’s Liberal Democratic Party] detailed information on all passengers in order to use it for electoral purposes, “may be for blackmailing or intimidation, in case of need”.

“When he wishes, Filat controls rank and file citizens, civil servants and politicians. He receives up-to-date papers from his Border Police that contain valuable information on many interesting people, whose traveling attracts the LDPM leader’s attention – personal data from passports, date and hour of departure from Moldova and destination of any passenger”, said Renato Usatii, with the list in his hand.

“On what right does the ex-premier, fired from his post on suspicion of corruption by his CEG colleagues, receives citizens’ personal data?” wondered Renato Usatii, and promised to lodge an inquiry on the matter with profiled competent agencies.

Infotag’s dossier: According to the above-mentioned algorithm of distributing practically all institutions in the republic, the Filat’s Liberal Democratic Party is in charge also of the National Center for Personal Data Protection.
