​PRESIDENT DODON PLANNING EVENTS FOR PROTECTING TRADITIONAL VALUES AS RESPONSE TO INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN LGBT PARADE

In response to the invitation to participate in the march of sexual minorities (LGBT), President Igor Dodon is initiating activities for protecting traditional values, wrote Presidential Press Secretary Ion Ceban in social networks.

At the beginning of this week, presenting the annual report of human right situation in Moldova, representatives of the international human right organization Amnesty International proposed to the head of the state to participate in an LGBT march, which will take place in spring. According to them, in this way Igor Dodon can prove that he wants to be a president for everyone.

“Igor Dodon still remains a president for all the people of the Republic of Moldova and intends to continue participating in events, common for all country citizens. In parallel with the march representatives of this organization were saying about, a number of events for supporting traditional family will be organized, just as it was done last year, and the President will certainly participate in these”, Ceban wrote.

He pointed that it is also planned to launch a number of initiatives, proposed by the presidential administration, for supporting young families, motherhood, children, as well as programs, directed to strengthening the institution of the family.

The Presidential press secretary called on all Moldovan citizens to join events, conducted for supporting the traditional family.

During the election campaign, Igor Dodon was actively standing for strengthening of Orthodoxy and preserving traditional Christian values. He also spoke for canceling Laws on protecting equality, which are also opposed by the Orthodox Church that openly supported Dodon at elections.
