PRESIDENT TO INCLUDE GAGAUZIA REPRESENTATIVES IN ECONOMIC COUNCIL, SECURITY COUNCIL AND PUBLIC CHAMBER

Moldovan President Igor Dodon met with Gagauzia Bashkan [governor] Irina Vlah on Thursday. He said he intends to include autonomy representatives in the Economic Council, the Supreme Security Council and the Public Chamber under the presidential auspices.<br>

He wrote in social networks that he and Irina Vlah exchanged opinions about the situation in the republic and the region, stressing the importance of preserving and developing cooperation at the level of head of the state and Gagauzia governor.<br>

Dodon proposed that Gagauzia representatives to more actively support president’s initiatives and participate in the activity of structures, created under presidential auspices.<br>

“We agreed that in the coming days, the Bashkan will propose candidatures in the Economic Council, the Supreme Security Council and the Public Chamber”, the President wrote.<br>

According to him, the sides also came to a common position, which consists of the fact that at changing the election system the quota for Gagauzia should be clearly regulated.<br>

At the end of the meeting, the President expressed gratitude and appreciation to autonomy citizens for trust and support.
