EUROPEAN INTEGRATION AND FULFILLMENT OF LIABILITIES REMAINS A PRIORITY FOR MOLDOVAN PARLIAMENT - ANDRIAN CANDU

The European integration and the fulfillment of corresponding commitments remain an absolute priority for the Moldovan Parliament, stated Speaker Andrian Candu at the meeting with Moldovan ambassadors, accredited abroad, on Tuesday.

He told about Parliament's actions on implementing reforms and fulfilling the liabilities undertaken within the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.

Andrian Candu said that the work is being conducted both in the Parliament and in the Council for European Integration, which are coordinating the fulfillment of arrangements within the roadmap and the 2018 Action Plan. He reminded that it si about reforms that concern the financial and banking system, the corruption combating, the package of laws on integrity and incorruptibility, the energy system, business environment improvement.

At the meeting, the stakeholders were talking about relations with the Gagauzia Popular Assembly, relations with Ukraine and Romania, as well as with Russia. Andrian Candu also informed about the regional cooperation with Ukraine and Georgia, as well as about the development of relations with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the European Union.

Talking about the future parliamentary elections, the Parliament Chairman urged diplomats to organize democratic, free and correct elections for Moldovan citizens.
