US AMBASSADOR CONFIRMS SUPPORT TO MOLDOVA’S PRO-WESTERN COURSE

The US stands for strengthening dialog with Moldova and will keep supporting the pro-Western course of the republic, stated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Moldova James D. Pettit at the meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip on Monday.

According to the Government, the sides discussed all the spectrum of bilateral partnership, summarizing the result of recent visit of the Moldovan Premier to the US.

They pointed at the need to keep interfacing on all channels, available for a quality implementation of agreements, achieved within negotiations with American administration and the US congress.

Premier expressed gratitude to the US for all-sided support to Moldova in various spheres and formats, especially underlining the support to the UN General Assembly Resolution on withdrawing Russian troops from the territory of Moldova, as well as the US Congress Resolution on supporting Moldova’s pro-Western aspirations.

Besides, the interlocutors exchanged opinions about the recent events at the national, regional and international levels.
