CHAIRMAN OF OUR PARTY BELIEVES THAT MOLDOVA SHOULD DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY IN AGRICULTURE

The chairman of Our Party (NP), Mayor of Balti Renato Usatii, believes, following the example of the right-wing opposition parties, that it is necessary to declare a state of emergency in agriculture in Moldova.

He wrote on social networks, commenting on the protests of farmers that “the government should go out to them, listen to their opinions and begin to eliminate the catastrophic situation in the industry”.

“Until the government has taken the pose of an ostrich, buried its head in the sand, so as not to see that a monstrous drought is superimposed on the pandemic in Moldova. The tangle of problems due to the inaction of the authorities has accumulated so large and complex that it needs to be solved by extraordinary methods. It is necessary to convene an emergency meeting of parliament," - stressed Usatii.

According to him, "it is necessary to create a working group with the participation of specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and subordinate structures and associations of agricultural producers, listen to farmers and develop a comprehensive package of measures to overcome the crisis."
