PAS LEADERSHIP MEET WITH PRIME MINISTER OF ROMANIA

08 april, 2021

A delegation of the Republic of Moldova's Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) are paying a visit to Bucharest, where they held a meeting with Romanian Prime Minister Florin Citu on Wednesday.

MP Igor Grosu, Chairman of the parliamentary PAS faction, wrote in social networks afterwards that he had stressed during the meeting with the Romanian Premiere that thanks to Romania and to the COVAX Platform, the Republic of Moldova has launched its vaccination campaign.

"Since the pandemic beginning, Romania has been continuously supporting the medical workers and the health system of Moldova by sending in medicines, medical and protective equipment, disinfectants and other items", wrote Igor Grosu.

He expressed regret that due to the incompetence of Governments in Chisinau, Moldova has failed to fully use the non-refundable loan of 100 million euros allocated by Romania yet in 2010 [with 60 million euros from that loan still remaining unused].

"We have reached an accord that after the appointment of a new Government in Moldova, we will begin new negotiations on utilization of the unused resources from that agreement", wrote Igor Grosu.
