FOUR PRO-EUROPEAN PARTIES FORMED A POLITICAL BLOC “TOGETHER”

Four pro-European political parties have formed a political bloc called Împreună (“Together”). As reported by INFOTAG, the decision was made on Sunday at a joint meeting of the leadership of the Party Platform “Dignity and Truth (DA),” the “Coalition for Unity and Welfare” (CUB), the public-political movement “League of Cities and Communities” (LOC), and the Party of Change.

“A decision has been made to create a bloc. Our four parties will have a common name, which we will promote – “Together.” Our bloc is aimed at guaranteeing Moldova's European course, neutralizing the political risks we face, and uniting society,” said Party of Change leader Ștefan Gligor.

A representative of the LOC party, Alexandru Bujorean, announced that the “Pact for Europe” was also approved during the meeting - a project document “for all healthy political forces, authentic pro-European parties ready to support Moldova's European path.”

“The Pact for Europe is a document that we will be presented for consultation to all political parties and stakeholders interested in promoting this national idea. It should be signed by parties, civil society, influential individuals to unite all forces and guarantee the European integration of our country,” emphasized Bujorean.

The leaders of the “Together” political formation confirmed that they would participate as a united bloc in the presidential and parliamentary elections. They said they have not yet determined the bloc's candidate for the presidency. Former deputies from the DA Platform, Alexandru Slusari and Octavian Țîcu, attended the meeting. Earlier, they, along with the leader of the CUB party, Igor Munteanu, were named as potential candidates from the four parties for the presidency of Moldova.
