DORIN CHIRTOACA HOPES THAT 40% CHISINAU CITIZENS WILL GET COMPENSATION FOR HEATING

Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca hopes that 40% Chisinau citizens will get the compensation for heating season 2013-2014.

On Monday, at operative meeting, he said that today about 15 thousand people get the compensations and about 5 thousand applications are under consideration. This year, the amount of the minimum income of a person for compensation increased from 1.4 thousand to 1.7 thousand lei. This means that more people should receive compensations, but for now their number is insignificant.

Two more months left to apply and get a rightful compensation. Submission procedure remains unchanged from 2008.

The mayor hopes, that till the end of heating season 40% socially vulnerable families will get the compensation, as it is said by law, and not 10% as it is today.
