​TWO PEOPLE DIED IN A ROAD ACCIDENT WITH MARSHROUTKA IN CHISINAU

Two people died and six were injured in a traffic accident with participation of marshroutka [city route minibus] №171, which happened on Wednesday in Chisinau. According to preliminary data, at the exit from Chisinau, a cargo minibus, who was moving towards the marshroutka, has suddenly came on the counter strip and collapsed with the route taxi. From the impact, all the front part of marshroutka has been crumpled. Its driver and the passenger from the front seat died on the spot. Driver of the freight bus was not injured. Special fire brigades and four ambulances were working on the place of accident. Around a month ago, 11 people were injured in another road accident with marshroutka in Chisinau downtown. Since January till September, in Chisinau were registered 82 accidents with public transport, where 116 people were injured and one – died.
