CONDEMNED BUSINESSMAN ILAN SHOR SUFFERS HEART ATTACK - WIFE

The wife of Moldovan business tycoon Ilan Shor, prominent Russian singer Jasmine [Sarah Manahimova-Semenduyeva] residing permanently in Moscow, has reported that her husband had a hearth attack on Thursday night.

Jasmine wrote on her Facebook page that like her husband, she has been greatly suppressed with the decision of the Court of Chisinau, which sentenced Ilan Shor to 7.5 years in jail on charges of particularly gross money laundering. However, until the publication of the substantiation section of the verdict expected on July 17, the court released Ilan Shor from house arrest and gave him a much lighter measure of restraint - the judicial review.

Jasmine has been sure from the very beginning that her husband is innocent and that "this will be necessarily proved at subsequent hearings of the case".

"But now, after such an unfair house arrest, Ilan is at last at large, and now he is beginning a real struggle for his honest name and for justice", wrote the Russian singing star.

Prominent opposition lawyer Anna Ursachi said to Infotag via the Internet that, certainly, the state of health may be used as a motive for the defense to demand lifting the main condition of a judicial review - prohibition to leave the country. Lawyers can well say that there are no proper medical conditions (up-to-date equipment, medicines, specialists etc.) for a good treatment of the patient, "so Shor may leave the country and may never come back".

Last year, Ilan Shor had a heart attack when staying in the remand prison of the National Anti-Corruption Center.

Ilan Shor was born on March 6, 1987 in Tel-Aviv. He is a citizen of Israel, renowned in the world as a country that does not extradite its citizens to the law enforcement agencies of other states.
