MOLDOVAN PRESIDENT EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO SPANISH PEOPLE ON TRAGEDY IN BARCELONA

President of Moldova Igor Dodon expressed condolences to the Spanish people in connection with the tragedy in Barcelona, where as a result of a terrorist attack 13 people died and over 100 got traumas on Thursday.

He wrote in Facebook that he categorically condemns this inhuman terroristic act and expresses solidarity with Spanish authorities and all world countries in combating this terrible danger.

The head of the state addressed words of compassion to relatives of the deceased and wished faster rehabilitation to those traumatized.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration also condemned the terroristic act in Barcelona, expressing solidarity with Spanish authorities, deep regret about human victims and condolences to their families.

The Ministry confirmed Moldova’s adherence to the combating all forms of terrorism and again states about the need of unification and activation of international efforts on combating this phenomenon.

The Ministry’s press release says that representatives of Moldovan diplomatic mission in Madrid are in permanent contact with Barcelona local authorities to find out if there are any Moldovan citizens among victims.
