07 december, 2017

The new multifunctional center of public services, which opened in Straseni on Wednesday, is aimed at reducing bureaucracy, providing to citizens more quality services in shorter terms.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip said at the Wednesday's Center opening that he is glad not only because it is the first such center in the country, but also because it is located in his [Premier's] native raion. Filip also said that within 1.5 years, such centers will appear all across the country.

The Premier said that the opening of the center is a part of central public administration reform, implemented by the Government.

"This reform is directed to de-politicization of state institutions as well as bringing the authorities closer to citizens. In future, the multifunctional centers will also provide services to those, who want to register political parties, religious cults or nongovernmental organizations. After that, all the services, proposed by the state, should be provided in such centers. The ultimate goal is to maximally approach public services to citizens", he said.

Filip said that after the simplification of the procedure of issuing document, the number of such documents necessary for citizens for interaction with the state should be reduced. The single act should be the identity card. The rest of information about the citizen may be found in public registries. The multifunctional center will be providing public services, proposed before by five public institutions, among which the State Information Resources Center "Registru", the State Registration Chamber, the "Cadastru" state enterprise, the Civil Status Service and the License Chamber.
