PRESIDENT DODON CANNOT RETURN FROM MOSCOW DUE TO NON-FLYING WEATHER HERE

Due to adverse weather persisting in Moldova since last Wednesday morning, President Igor Dodon is not able to return home from Moscow.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state was initially going to hold a news conference at the Chisinau International Airport on Friday noon to draw up the results of his 3-day working visit to the Russian capital. But the conference was cancelled because the airport has not been receiving airplanes for a third day now due to an abnormally heavy fog.

On Thursday and last night, a total of 30 flights were cancelled. And on Friday afternoon, occasional rare landings and departures are beginning to be permitted when weather permits.
