MOLDOVA INTRODUCES SOME INDULGENCES TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

01 june, 2020

The National Emergency Public Health Commission has today permitted to lift a range of restrictions on various activities imposed earlier due to the coronavirus infection.

At its latest meeting held last weekend, the Commission decided to fully resume the work of the National Agency for Public Services – with full observance of personal safety rules.

The Commission has permitted also open-air training for football players, weightlifters, badminton players, rowers, lawn tennis players, and athletes in water sports. Training sessions have been permitted exclusively at stadiums and training centers, at sporting grounds, in sporting swimming pools accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences, with the observance of all epidemiological and infection-prevention rules.

On June 1, municipal food markets were opened in Chisinau. However, shopping centers will resume working only from June 8, with the exception of their cinemas, public catering facilities and recreation centers.

Public transport in Chisinau and Balti will continue working only on Monday through Friday until the end of June.

The Commission said that depending on the development of the epidemiological situation, restrictive measures and indulgencies may be revised.
