​FRONTERA RESOURCES INTENDS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Frontera Resources Corporation (London Stock Exchange, AIM Market – Symbol: FRR) and independent oil and gas exploration and production company („Frontera”), provided an announcement on its operation and projected plans in the Republic of Moldova.

On 2 January 2017, Frontera and the Government of the Republic of Moldova have signed the Agreement on Concession of Geological Hydrocarbons Exploration Works on the Territory of the Republic of Moldova, with Their Subsequent Exploitation. The Agreement was awarded to Frontera in the result of a public tender. Under the Agreement, Frontera will perform exploration works for hydrocarbons production and development in an area of about 12,125 km² of Dobrogea region located in the Southern part of the Republic of Moldova.

The term of the Concession Agreement is of 50 years from its signing date, including an initial 10 years exploration phase. Frontera has committed to an initial investment of up to USD 6 Million, with a potential increase in case of successful implementation of the project.

Zaza Mamulaishvili, President of Frontera Resources stated:

Frontera is in the process for the final arrangements of its local subsidiary in the Republic of Moldova, to be followed by a complex process of geological information collection, including the study of archives on the past prospect works.
