THE CLIENTS OF MOBIASBANCA HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A SOCIAL PROJECT

This year, Mobiasbanca decided to redirect the funds intended for holiday gifts for clients to the renovation of the Reanimation and Intensive Care Unit of the “Emilian Cotaga” clinic under the Mother and Child Institute.

Created in 1974, the unit provides care to children at national level and is the only unit in the Republic of Moldova that treats every year about 120 children with the most serious burns. The renovation project included the replacement of the old wooden windows and doors, which will increase the thermal insulation and will maintain the optimal temperature in the unit and wards. In addition, a new and advanced ventilation system has been installed. It enables ventilating the rooms and filtering the air in the unit according to the sanitary requirements, which is crucial in treating burns.

“We have been informed about the specificity of this unit where extremely serious cases are treated and children need a special approach, a lot of patience and love. We are grateful to our clients who, indirectly, contributed to the implementation of this important project. With this example, we hope to also engage the business community in similar actions, because the contribution of each of us is important, especially in the health sector”, Stela Ciobanu, General Secretary, member of the bank’s Management Board said.

The deputy director of the clinic, Mr. Vasile Tomuz, declared his gratefulness for the support provided to the institution and said: “We are glad to have safer conditions for treating children and better working conditions for our employees. In the last three years, we have achieved the performance of zero lethal cases in this unit. Now, we intend to reduce the treatment and hospitalization period by using modern and advanced methods and medicines”.
