A-STAY: FIRST BRICK OF OUR HOSPITALITY CONCEPT IN BOOMING MOLDOVA

Chisinau is the second chosenlocation for A-STAY, a new hospitality concept where guestsare completely immersedin the places they’re visiting - through online and offline connections to locals and their city.

On the 28th of May, A-STAY is laying the first brick of their Moldovan site at the historic building of Columna 90. A-STAY Chisinau will combine the charm of the existing building with a completely newly built modern part. It’s located in the heart of the capital Chisinau, a booming city with lots of international companies, who A-STAY will assist in an innovative way during the short, mid and long stays of their coworkers and clients. On top of that, we’ll show Moldova’s tourists what dynamic Chisinau is about.

Thanks to the in-house technology platform, each member of the A-STAY family will be able to fully steer and control their stay through the A-STAY app on their smart device: from a quick check-in with palm vein recognition, to opening doors, paying food and beverages, booking a meeting room and controlling the light and temperature of theirstay.

Just like in all A-STAY locations, A-STAY Chisinau will be the home away fromhome for numerous travelers, whether they pop in for a short business meeting, dive into the city for a couple of days, or stay a little longer. The city will be brought to them through tips about the hidden gems, local food on offer in the social lobby space, and last but not least, the warm welcome of our vibrant A-STAY community.

A-STAY is the hospitality brand in the BESIX STAYholding of A-STAR Group and BESIX Group. Together they will create the first BREEAM certified building in Moldova. The BREEAM or ‘Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method’ is of great importance to the project, as sustainability and innovation are two of A-STAY’s main values. A-STAY has the ambition to build 7000 rooms over the next 5 years. After A-STAY Antwerp, A-STAY Chisinau is the second project within this ambitious target, opening with 174 studiosattheend of 2020. The 3^rd opening will be A-STAYDiegem, at the beginning of 2021. Each A-STAY features all the A-STAY experiences: a buzzing central social space, a garden, a 24/7 selection offresh local treats, a guest laundry, a fitness room, a meeting roomwith a kitchen & workingspace.
