​DEFLATION IN TRANSNISTRIA IS 1.03%

In July prices in Transnistria fell to an average of 1.03% against June inflation rate of 0.23%.

This is due to a seasonal decline in food prices, which fell in the whole of 2.38%. The prices of manufactured goods slightly decreased – 0.12% and services slightly rose – 0.09%.

The inflation amounted to 0.91% since the beginning of the year. Food prices have risen for seven months by 0.49%, services by 7.28%, and non-food goods, on the contrary, decreased by 2.11%.

In 2013, inflation in the region was 3.63% at planned 7-8%. In 2014, the Transnistrian Central Bank predicts it up to 2.2%.
