​USA TO SUPPORT MOLDOVA’S REINTEGRATION EFFORTS – AMBASSADOR JAMES PETTIT

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Moldova James D. Pettit has met Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov in Chisinau on Tuesday. The main topic of discussion became the Transnistrian problem and perspectives of resuming negotiations in 5+2 format. The US Ambassador welcomed the new Government’s focus on settlement the Transnistrian conflict, adding that his country is ready to contribute to efforts in the view of Moldova’s reintegration. The interlocutors also discussed the situation in the security zone, speaking for preserving peace and stability in the region.
