TRANSNISTRIA REPORTS THREE DEATHS CAUSED PRESUMABLY BY COVID-19

01 april, 2020

Three patients died on Tuesday in the Slobozia Raion Hospital, reequipped urgently for an infectious center to treat people ill with COVID-19.

As was already reported by Infotag earlier today, the first was a 55-year-old woman who was delivered to the Tiraspol clinical hospital with bilateral pneumonia. The analyses taken after her death showed that she had been infected with coronavirus as well.

On Monday, a 59-year-old woman from Slobozia town was delivered to the said infectious hospital with bilateral pneumonia, too. In addition, the woman had sugar diabetes. She was immediately linked to an artificial lungs ventilation machine and was given necessary treatment, but on Tuesday she passed away. Doctors are saying they noticed signs of coronavirus in her. Her samples were sent to Chisinau for analysis.

The third CoV victim was a resident of Tiraspol, who suffered chronic kidney deficiency and bilateral pneumonia. A coronavirus diagnosis has not been officially confirmed with him – only visual and behavioral signs of the disease.

On Tuesday, positive results were produced by the analyses of 6 residents of Transnistria – five women and a man aged between 50 and 70. Thus, the number of infected patients in the Transnistrian region has reached 24. However, the analyses of 31 other people did not reveal the disease. So, they will be discharged from the Slobozia hospital and will take a course of out-patient treatment in a self-isolation regime.
