Moldova’s Special Representative for Transnistria negotiations, Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Country Reintegration Olga Cebotari has called on all stakeholders concerned not to use discrimination approaches and politicization of the Transnistrian question and the electoral right of the residents of the left Dniester bank and Bendery city [situated on the right bank].

Olga Cebotari wrote in social networks that the left bank and Bendery are home to several hundred thousand citizens having the same rights as all the rest people in the Republic of Moldova.

“Commentaries by using the language of hatred and instigation to discrimination inflict damage to the Government’s goal of country reintegration and influence adversely on Chisinau’s efforts in the negotiation process and on Moldova’s international image”, wrote the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to her, the Moldovan Government supports an equal and unlimited exercise of the tight to vote for all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, no matter where they stay – in the country, in the Diaspora or on the left Dniester bank.

“Please don’t divide citizens into good and bad ones. The people’s will is the basis of a state structure. This will is expressed by means of free, democratic, transparent and fair elections in conformity with the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova”, wrote Olga Cebotari.
